VIDEO RELEASE: Kline Urges Passage of
Student Success Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House of Representatives is currently debating the Student Success Act(H.R. 5), legislation to rewrite federal K-12 education law.Moments ago House Education and the Workforce Committee Chairman John Kline (R-MN) explained how the bill will help raise the bar in our schools by reducing the federal footprint in education, restoring local controlsupporting effective teachers, and empowering parents:

We have an opportunity before us today – for the first time in more than a decade – to approve new K-12 education legislation in the House of Representatives. We have an opportunity to lend our support to legislation that will tear down barriers to progress and grant states and districts more freedom to think bigger, innovate, and take whatever steps are necessary to put more children on the path to a brighter future.
