JOHN DEWEY: CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW? (No matter, Technological Disruption has a history of Leveling All Playing Fields!)

Joanne Weiss, The U.S. Department of Education's chief of staff, notes that "the biggest challenge for us is that education has been a place that is wildly resistant to innovation....It was designed very much to resist the status quo so that crazy fads wouldn't use kids as quinea pigs. And the problem with that is now when we desperately are in need of innovation, we have built a system that is really, really good at repelling it."
