WARREN WSU to break ground on tech ed center
Wayne State University on Wednesday is to celebrate a groundbreaking on a $12-million facility in Warren that is to give students a chance to earn four-year degrees in engineering, computer science, business and advanced manufacturing.
The Advanced Technology Education Center will be a 40,000-square-foot facility at 14601 E. Twelve Mile. The project involves renovating an existing structure on the 3.5-acre site adjacent to Macomb Community College, according to the university.
The center is to accommodate students from Macomb County and surrounding areas and provide collaborative opportunities with area businesses.
The center is expected to be open for classes in fall 2014.
