State Superintendent Mike Flanagan was interviewed by Detroit Public Television, Wednesday for a PBS special airingin select locations this Saturday, December 22nd at 3:00 p.m. titled, “What Next After Newtown: What Our Country and Communities Can Do.”
The program will examine issues raised by the school shooting in Newtown, Conn. including the accessibility of weapons; violence in the media; talking to children about such incidents; school security; public policy and mental health; the mind of a troubled shooter.
